Babar Azam has been awarded ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year for the second year in a row

Pakistan's all-format captain Babar Azam has been awarded ICC ODI Men's Cricketer of the Year for the second time in a row.

With three centuries and five half-centuries, the top-ranked ODI batsman, who has topped the rankings list since July 2021, recorded 679 runs in addition to serving as Pakistan's captain, the skipper was applauded by the ICC for "leading his team with grace and to only one loss during the year."

 The ICC named him the outstanding player and cited his score of 114 against Australia in Lahore as his most brilliant performance in recognizing him for his exceptional accomplishments. just nine ODIs, averaging 84.87 and leading the field in terms of runs scored. He maintained his lead as the top batsman.

Many of Babar Azam's admirers, whether from Pakistan or elsewhere, appreciated him for his captaincy and batting skills.
